Individual Counselling

If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to get to know each other and determine if we’d be a good fit, we offer a 70 minute online assessment session.

All sessions are conducted online using zoom either video or voice calling. 

This can be used for a one-time session, or as a starting place for ongoing sessions. During these sessions, I like to offer some psycho education and techniques that you can begin using right away in your everyday life.

Before we start, we’ll conduct an initial assessment to make sure we’re on the same page with your goals.

Together, we’ll work on creating a realistic outcome that you’re excited to achieve. From there, I’ll suggest a number of appointments and we’ll book them in advance.

You have the option to book them in blocks of four or individually.

The fee is simply £75 per session or £290 for a block of four.

Depending on the nature of your work and your specific needs, you may find that a shorter-term online therapy model consisting of eight sessions might be more suitable for you.

This approach typically involves six weekly sessions, with the seventh session taking place after two weeks, and the final eighth session scheduled for four weeks later.

Furthermore, the final session can serve as a top-up, allowing you to further consolidate any progress you may have made and addressing any remaining challenges you may be experiencing.

The process of counselling can vary depending on individual needs and circumstances. In some cases, long-term counselling may be necessary to effectively address issues such as addiction or trauma.

When working with these types of challenges, it is common for sessions to begin on a weekly basis and gradually become less frequent, progressing to fortnightly or even monthly meetings.

This gradual shift allows clients to develop a relationship of trust with their therapist, and to make consistent progress over an extended period of time.

I am a  Multi-heritage Race and interfaith therapist with experience in providing psychological support and counseling to individuals of mixed race heritage. My passion for this field stems from my own background, which has given me firsthand knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities that come with being part of multiple racial and cultural groups. I am also a parent of a mixed race offspring.

As a Mixed Race Therapist, my role is to help these teenagers navigate through these challenges. Through counseling, we explore their feelings about their identity, discuss the societal pressures they face, and work on strategies to cope with these pressures.
